Time out

Time Out was where it all began. And that’s why it has it’s own link in the menu.

After LN and I’s customary┬álunch-break-in-the-park was rained off one dreary afternoon, we sat in the staff canteen discussing how sometimes (often) we wished ourselves far away from this place, this office, this work life.

LN, with a dreamy and beatific look on her face said, without looking at me – looking instead at some far horizon where everything was much more magnificent: “We should create a document … about Time, where we can add things, pictures and quotes, and when we feel frustrated or sad, we can go there and take Time Out.”

She is a genius, that girl.

And that is how it began, with a Google Doc that included these posts, which eventually grew into the blog, our class and who knows what next…

And so Time Out was born.

When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it.

Sometimes I’d like to write a book

A book all about time

About how it doesn’t exist,

How the past and the future

Are one continuos present.

I think that all people -those living,

those who have lived

And those who are still to live -are alive now.

I should like to take that subject to pieces,

Like a soldier dismantling his rifle.
